These random 40-degree days and heavy storms have gotten a rumbling going.
It’s almost I feel like the roots stirring underground, and the seeds quaking with waking seedling tendrils inside.
I can’t wait for spring. I’m going to run around the newly budding forests and take as many pictures as my wee camera will hold.
Until spring officially springs, though, let’s dream of green things.
I want to see baby plants unfurling.
And walk like this in green meadows of tall grass. To this soundtrack.
But right now it is cold and stormy, but I will simply imagine that it warm and stormy. That is my favorite time ever, warm-weather storms. Like this.
When it is warm and out, I would like to start tending my garden. Unfortunately, I live in an apartment right now, but I can dream of our one day beds…
In the meantime, I will get some herbs started, so at least it can be green in my kitchen.
I would much prefer to grow this though.
Spring, and its wealth of green is a conundrum for a blue-haired lady like me. Green is my second favorite color (after rainbow) but I look best in blue. To look right in it with the blue hair, it has to be just the right shade.
Or perhaps all of them. In crochet form. I would feel like an uber fairy in this.
Perhaps I can start by bringing a little green inside the house. I do have some furniture that could use refinishing.
But ultimately, all this green and magic, it is just making me dream about swinging from a tree. That’s all I really want in the world right now.
