I got a FEVER! And the only prescription…is little squish.
Yep, I have the baby fever. I am that creep making kissy faces at your bebeh in public places, making little squeals of glee when it smiles back at me.
Papa Bear and I have been working on the whole baby thing for a couple of months, but I just recently got insurance (yay!), and headed off to the doc for some blood work. Unfortunately, I’m a little short on certain antibodies, so I need to get a couple of vaccinations, which mean we’re going to have to wait three months before we get back to it.
Boo for that. But at the same time, for every month I’m not pregnant, it’s another month closer to Papa Bear being done with school and us being back to two incomes. That’s not the worst thing in the world. And hey, we were planning on taking next month off anyway, because I have married two Christmas babies, and if I can avoid another poor kid hearing the “Christmas and birthday present” line, that’s just fine with me.
But still, I am absolutely gooshing out over all things kid and baby lately. With that in mind, let’s get to this week’s Things I Love Thursday!
Our baby is going to have their whole damn life photographed. I definitely need to steal this idea.
Cribs take up a ton of room, of which we are quite short. I love this hanging crib idea. So very Scandinavian.
I desperately want this welcoming me home from work. Bleurgh…
Now THIS is a kid’s room! You know what, screw it, I’m making a big version for myself. So freaking magical.
Babies are the best excuse for ridiculous costumes. And with the way Halloweens are in Chicago, at least this way little dude wouldn’t get cold!
Because they are.
Even before I thought I wanted kids, I was way obsessed with baby shoes. I would like to buy ALL the baby shoes, please.
This is how Papa Bear is with Baby Bear right now. But, being co-parents with joint custody, he doesn’t get nearly as much of this as he would like. I can’t wait until he can shower his little ones with this sort of love full time. He is seriously the best dad that has ever lived.
Baby Bear is in a bit of a princess phase lately, but at the same time, she is quite a rough and tumble little dude. Of course I always tell her that princesses don’t need a prince to rescue them – she can be her own prince too. I think she needs this book.
Kid happiness is like no other happiness on earth. Look at this squish. For serious.
