A Day Without Words | Green & Stuffed All Over

Don’t you love it when you can knock a bunch of fun things off your to do list all at once – like hang out with friends, celebrate a holiday, and make delicious food? For St. Patrick’s Day this year we got to hang with our friends Josh and Nikki, who we do not get to see as much as we would like to, and their adorable little Corgi Jax. He was wearing a bow tie. I squee-ed. Their house is full of awesomely geeky things, and there was maple-y bacon syrup for the bourbon, shitloads of corned beef, and Guinness bread. What a wonderful day.

A Day Without Words | A Grey Bookish Day

Sunday was a dreary, rainy day, made even more soggy by the melting of the week’s blizzard. We picked up a little salt water taffy (thanks to Kaylah for reminding me how much I love it) with the groceries, took a trip to the bookstore, then stopped by our foxy Thor-looking neighbor’s apartment (who happens to be a special effects makeup artist – swoon) for a Holy Grail party. We left quickly to get over-tired bear to bed, but not before she stole some of his fruit. Papa Bear went back over for the movie portion of the festivities while I got a little much-needed me time. It was a good day.

How did you spend your weekend?

A Day Without Words | Life & Death

Bread is life. As in, those yeasty little creatures burping and farting all over the place when eating doughy sugars are totally alive, and making that delicious creation we call bread. We had a pretty lazy Sunday this week, enjoying family time, baking bread, Baby Bear bothering Monty, daddy daughter geeking out over Zelda, and going for a frosty walk in a little cemetery that I love to visit, after which I made a giant friend. It was a beautiful day.

A Day Without Words | Crafty Work Day

I love my Mondays off. I may be off work, but I’m always working anyway. It was a day of craft projects this Monday, some successful, some not, sun and snow, milk mustache mornings before school, and a little walk to clear my head. Oh, and the kitties. Always hanging around.

A Day Without Words | Light & Shadows

Just a typical day in the life. A little knitting in the morning, a trip to Michaels, a stop at a frozen forest preserve to capture my 365 Project photo of the day, grabbing a coffee at The Wormhole, cutting, shaving, and the creepiest thing ever watching me get into my car on the way home. All in a day’s work.
