I have a confession. On Fridays, I cannot read a clock.
You see, I did this thing again, where I showed up to work multiple hours early on a Friday. I think I am just so paranoid about being late, something misfires in my brain and tells me that I need to leave the house NOW. I don’t know, there is no excuse for me sometimes. At least I’m wrong in the right direction.
On the bright side, when I make this mistake, I have more time for lunch than usual, and I can go eat somewhere that takes a little more time than the usual half hour that I have to walk somewhere, order food, eat it and walk back.
Enter, Antique Taco. If there is a more delicious taco anywhere, in a cuter place, I haven’t found it.
These gorgeous folks are Rick and Ashley. They own the place. I have not actually met Ashley, but she is just lovely, and responsible for the antiques and overall cuteness of Antique Taco.
Rick I know quite well, as I get all up in his hair business. I’m pretty lucky to be his barber, because he has the most BEAUTIFUL hair ever. It’s pretty sweet when you get a head that makes your work look good so effortlessly.
Seriously, they are the freaking cutest.
This is their restaurant.
Whenever I go to Antique Taco it is pre-work, so I have never sampled their awesome beer selection, but it is pretty eclectic. Mad approvals.
There are plenty of tables up front, but I always end up sitting at the little single tables near the back, even during slow times. I like to hide, whatever. Also, it is right near the bus station, and although they totally bus your table for you, I worked in the industry for entirely too many years, I can’t not do it myself.
Even the bathrooms are cute.
My usual order, Market Mushroom tacos with a blood orange agua fresca. It is pretty much the most delicious thing ever, and I make a total mess of myself. I am not ashamed, but perhaps it is one of the reasons I hide at these back tables.
