Are you new to knitting? Well that’s neat. Welcome to this weird and wonderful club of the people of the yarn!
The first thing you need to know is how to make a slipknot and cast on, because these two simple techniques are the beginning every knitted piece you will ever make. Today I’m going to show you how to do it.
And I mean show you for real. Although I have always felt myself better in writing than live action, today I am premiering a new feature, a video series called Knitting In Bed. Talking! Whee!
This took about two dozen takes, because this is my first ever blog video, and I do tend to freeze in front of a video camera, but we finally got it.
If you like this video, I would be ever so grateful if you would share it on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest, which you can do with the easy peasy share buttons at the bottom of this post. And if you have been dying to learn more about a particular knitting technique, or just have another random craft-related question, ask away in the comments below!
You might see your question featured in the next video. In my bed, yo.
Thanks for watching friends! I hope you enjoyed all the awkward.
