It is frustrating/exciting when one of your weird little obsessions goes mainstream.
Case in point: octopi.
I love these weird and squishy creatures, perhaps because of all of the crafts and projects I imagine I could do with 8 prehensile arms. And now they’re everywhere! Hooray and boo, all at the same time.
I have been trolling Etsy quite a bit lately (in preparation for my upcoming shop!), and I gathered together a whole mess o’ cephalopods for you. And for me, but whatever.

“Creeping along the bottom of your cup, the Octopus is up to noooo good. He’ll be a little startled if you catch him, and who knows what he’s doing if you don’t. As you drink the Octopus will emerge.” Meep! Need!

“This dapper little dude comes equipped with a top hat, monocled eye piece and neatly groomed mustache. He is the perfect gentleman’s gentleman!”

Thanks to my psoriasis, the skin on my left leg is a little jacked up. I have been planning a large octopus tattoo for scar coverage for some time now. In the meantime…

“There’s just something a little different about this octopus. Maybe it’s the glasses? Perhaps it’s the cup of tea or the secondhand novel? Either way, this is no ordinary cephalopod.” Adore this print.
Now, how many days ’til Christmas?
I had been planning a huge post for today with our Rainbow and Strawberry Field engagement photo session, and it’s almost done! Today I will be spending pretty much the entire day working like a crazy person, covered in other peoples’ hair with no time to sit down, much less access a computer.
So I decided to wait until Monday, when I will actually have access to a computer for much of the day. It’s going to be a hell of a post though, so check back!
And because I hate to keep you waiting, here’s a little preview!

I love wolves, and dragons (they count, right?) and of course foxes. But I am madly, deeply, wildly in love with tigers. I do not want to live in a world where they do not exist. Save the tigers! And getting off my soapbox now…
I cannot wait until Monday!
Well, unicorns are on my list, so I certainly can’t blame you for dragons. The little jerk of a kitten around here reminds me of Toothless from HTTYD, so we kind of have one! But she is not toothless. She noms.
